Charlotte (she/her) is an environmental DNA researcher focused on developing eDNA tools and workflows for biodiversity monitoring, from initial concept through to implementation-ready solutions. She is your contact point for the scientific and methodological aspects of this website.

Maria-Rose Eves Down
Maria-Rose Eves Down | Data steward

An ecologist with a background in agricultural ecology, invasive species & environmental pollution whose passion for Open Science also led her to datastewarding! In this project, she is working on the eDNA workflows and is your contact point for the Open Science and research data management aspects of this website.

Nick Dillen
Nick Dillen | Bioinformatician

As a bioinformatician, he bridges the experimental (“wet”) laboratory with the scientific data analysis. He loves to explore all aspects of computational biology, ranging from ecology, statistics and data science to software development and ICT. Nick is your contact for questions or feedback regarding the bioinformatics presented on this website.

Rein Brys
Rein Brys | (e)DNA researcher

Rein (he/him) is a senior eDNA researcher at INBO, coordinating the group’s research on biodiversity monitoring and conservation through DNA barcoding and metabarcoding, applied to the detection of rare and protected species, as well as invasive species. He is your contact point for the broader scientific direction of the group’s eDNA work.

Damiano Oldoni
Damiano Oldoni | Research software engineer

Damiano (he/him) is a former physicist, trying to create order in the world of taxonomy and alike. He does so by writing elegant software functions to help you speed up your research. He is your contact point for the technical aspects of this website.
